Our mission
Our ambition is to help solve for change and create more sustainable business practices while we’re at it. Our governance, risk and compliance expertise helps us bridge change leaders to those internal functional experts or outside counsel to optimize decision velocity and accuracy. The reverse too – we can help legal, risk and compliance functions better integrate with a company’s change agenda and ensure that functional priorities are advancing the overall corporate strategy.
We are on a mission to improve decision systems in organizations. Silos have been perpetual problem for all organizations – why haven’t we cracked that code? Inherent in the way that most organizations have been built, far more attention has been focused on narrower areas of expertise, with less attention to the connective tissue of organizations – the essential connections that make things happen. Aligning multidisciplinary perspectives and building relationships cross-functionally is our currency. Execution is built into our process through a discipline called Business Architecture.
Why business architecture?
If we are going to design trustworthy organizations in this wild era of rapid technological advancement and regulatory uncertainty, we need consistent, shared language and tools that help:

Our Beliefs:
Ethics
Systems must meaningfully support ethical decision-making and look after the people and environments that are impacted by company operations. We must always be seeking a better way. Always seeking to do the right thing. Technology must be used to make life better. Moral integrity can successfully be centered in business.
Insight
Gaining a deep understanding of a situation requires multidisciplinary perspectives and an open mind. Informed decisions must be clear eyed and this does not just mean getting the right data, but asking the right questions to generate knowledge. Insight must be rich, contextual and aligned to the issue at hand. Powerful cognitive forces can make us myopic and a disciplined and principled approach to decision-making, resting on powerful insights is the best antidote to this particular human condition of “what you see is what there is.” Insight is a seed of both innovation and good governance.
Human-centered
Resource Humans instead of Human Resources. Job quality, well-being, meaning in work, development and sustainable performance are all critical. As is accountability for good leadership, clarity of roles and responsibilities, and a way to connect the work you do to the bigger picture. Individuals and systems need to be adaptable to navigate this ever more complex and rapidly changing world, yet as humans, we don’t love change. Balancing stability and security with experimentation and innovation takes knowing the context of the human part of your organization with great clarity. We must create business ecosystems that are responsive to human needs.
Simplicity
Our world is complex, to be sure, but we have unnecessarily overcomplicated nearly everything – particularly when it comes to compliance. New thinking in this space has been stunted by silos and a misconception that compliance is always prescriptive and in the weeds, and holistic solutions for outcomes are not often viewed as the province of compliance professionals. The creative act of simplifying decision-making is a lost art – we can help bring it back to business.
